5 Things God Says To Creatives That Most Churches Never Talk About
Content from an Instagram reel/post of Trey J Pride with a caption: “5 Things God says to creatives… that most churches never talk about.”
1. You weren’t just made by God. You were made like Him.
Genesis 1:27 says God created mankind in His image.
And the first thing Scripture ever tells us about God is that He created. So if you’re made in His image, creating is in you. Imagining. Designing. Building. Bringing things to life. Creativity isn’t a personality type. It’s spiritual DNA.
2. God filled creatives with His Spirit on purpose
Exodus 31:3–5 talks about Bezalel. A designer. A builder. A craftsman. God says He filled him with His Spirit, with wisdom, ability, and skill.
Before kings. Before prophets. God chose a creative.
Why? Because the place where God’s presence would dwell wasn’t going to be thrown together. It needed beauty, order, and excellence. God trusted creatives with His presence.
3. Your gift makes room for you
Proverbs 18:16 says a man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. That thing you feel called to do isn’t random. It’s not extra. It’s a tool God uses to position you for provision, influence, and impact.
Your creativity is part of your assignment.
4. You are God’s workmanship
Ephesians 2:10 says we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. The word workmanship comes from the word poem.
You are a masterpiece made to make things that matter. God made you on purpose, for a purpose, and that includes the things you feel called to build.
5. Your creativity is meant to glorify God
1 Peter 4:10–11 says we should use whatever gift we’ve received to serve others, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
Whether you’re filming videos, writing, designing, painting, or building something no one sees yet, when you do it with excellence and obedience, it becomes worship.
Your creativity was never meant to glorify you. It was always meant to point back to Him.
